| 抄録(和) | 当研究所では肢体不自由者向けのパーソナルコンピュータ入力支援装置として標準キーボードやマウスに替わるキーボード代用装置を開発している. 四肢が麻痺していても頭部の制御が可能な高位頸髄損傷者向けにはレーザ光線を用いた光入力方式を, 随意運動が眼球運動だけになるような場合には視線により入力できる視線入力方式を, 不随意運動や可動域が狭いために操作可能なスイッチが少数の場合はモールス符号を用いた符号入力式を採用し, 様々な身体特性に対応できるようにした. キーボード代用装置はUSB接続であり, 標準キーボードとパラレルな入力が可能であるとともに, 他のUSB接続の周辺機器と同様に容易な接続が可能である. |
| 抄録(英) | We have developed personal computer input devices (keyboard emulator) intended for the peoples with physical disabilities who can't use a standard keyboard (e.g. progressive muscular dystrophies with limited mobility of fingers and cerebral palsies incapable of sophisticated movements and, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, etc.). As these keyboard emulator are connected by USB to personal computer, so operator can use PC without standard keyboard and it is easy to connect without shut down the system. We have developed direct input type (light spot operated keyboard which use a laser pointer for spinal cord injured patients and eye gaze input system for the people with severe physical disabilities like ALS patients), and coding input type (Morse keyboard emulator for muscular dystrophies patients and CP patients). |
