Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Organizations should take measures against some information security to control vulnerability in information systems. They need to evaluate the value of information assets to take some necessary and sufficient measures efficiently. In this paper, it is clarified that the reasons why the value of information assets are hardly ever evaluated are (1) the existence of various theories about the range of information assets and (2) no establishing ways of evaluating the value of information assets. This paper also shows that (1) the protected range is information, the electronic data, the document data and the software, and (2) the method for Matrix evaluation of the value of information assets as a new method for evaluation of information assets.
