Trend of System Level Design Methodologies : Current Status of C-based Design Description Languages

Abstract(in English) One of the most effective approaches to overcome the "Design Productivity Crisis" would be to make the abstraction level of design description higher than current RT level. This paper overviews "C-based Languages" that are to be used for system level design description. We focus on the reason behind C-based languages are chosen, technical limitation, approaches to overcome these limitations. Then we describe the features of these languages and their processing systems.
