| Abstract(in English) | Recent digital consumer products require higher multimedia processing performance at a consumer price. The performance trend of the embedded processors and its microarchitecture such as superscalar and VLIW are surveyed in the digital consumer applications. The new directions for multimedia processing are reported in both processor and system-on-chip architecture. |
