Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The high bandwidth environments of B-ISDN(based on the ATM) provide more than 1 Gb, s for the distributed applications. Therefore, network speeds are approaching prosessor′s bus speeds,it will be necessary to adopt a new network computing that make more efficient use of the gigabit-network bandwidth. In this paper,we discuss the distributed network shared memory(DNSM)that increases network throughput.DNSM consist of host virtual memory(connected with the ATM network). In addition,we show the virtual shared ring buffer(V-Ring)as a communication mechanism with DNSM.
