Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed DR-nets, Data-Reconstruction networks to construct highly reliable parallel disk systems. In our previous studies on performance of a prototype of DR-nets, we reported its throughput and response time with methods for parity distribution and strategies for data reconstruction, and indicated its scalability. However, these reports contain no effect on interface to outside of the system. The interface nodes can easily be increased in the DR-nets. In this paper, we show results of experience using a DR-net prototype with a number of interface nodes. They indicate that the additional interface modes improve performance more effectively than queuing of access requests.
