Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Intelligent silicon file memory (ISFM) board to be accessed by PC9800 personal computer has been developed together with the demo-software, in order to study the possibility of smaller portable personal document DB machines. SSP (string search processor) built in the ISFM and a software to extract the search term strings from the query document were proved to operate as well as expected. Though the SSP can work at 20MB/s, the overall operation speed became 1 MB/s. This means that the search result processing speed must be very high, for enhancing the overall document retrieval speed. Then, possible solutions are discussed.
