Abstract(in English) It has been getting important for users to be shown the processed results visually by high performance parallel computing systems.Moreover,since the amount of data which have to be processed has been increasing,a large amount of disk devices are needed.However,input , relaxed as much as possible are indispensable.We propose a flexible and high band-width I/O system as one of the configurations for massively parallel processing.The I/O system consists of some fast serial communication links.In this paper,an image and a disk I/O system for massively parallel computation are described.An experimental system which is constructed in the distributed processing environment consisting of many engineering workstations is shown.
