Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dataflow machine can execute simultaneously several programs with low level parallelism by assigning different color to each program and by using physically several CPUs. Hence, dataflow machine is suitable to multi task applications. Multiple CPU dataflow machine can also execute a single task with high level parallelism. However in this case, each CPU tends to process sequential programs. Since dataflow machine only attains low processing capacity for sequential programs, we newly propose precedent firing of instructions to improve its performance. Accordingly, we obtain new dataflow machine architecture which is suitable to both single-task and multi-task applications. The proposed dataflow machine has good feature of having no redundant resources at multi-task operations, which may cause problems in the case of Von Neumann VLIW processor.
