Abstract(in English) Genetic Algorithms (GAs) have been widely used to solve large-scaled optimization problems with complex constraints. Since GAs have many parameters, it's difficult to set these parameters to appropriate values for obtaining good performance. Therefore many parameter setting methods have been proposed, in which parameter values are adaptively changed during execution of GAs. This paper presents an LSI implementation of a GA which selects crossover operators adaptively during its execution based on a new measure called "elite degree" that we have proposed. Simulation results to evaluate the proposed chip are also given.
