Restoration of Artificial Images Distorted by Spatially Correlated Noise

Abstract(in English) In this paper we discussed the image restoration distorted by the noise having spatial correlation with translational symmetry in the realm of the probabilistic data processing. First, we hypothecated that the original image could only be produced by the Gaussian model merely with a nearest-neighbor effect and that the noises superimposed at each pixel are produced by the Gaussian model having spatial correlation which had translational symmetry. In this model, by means of Fourier transformation, it is known that we can calculate the characteristics of the systems such as restoration error, and also that restoration error is minimized when each hyperparameter of probabilistic model used in the restoration process coincides with that one used in formation process. We discussed in this paper the characteristics of image restoration distorted by the spatial correlated noise using the artificail image. Also, we estimated the hyperparameter by using marginal maximum likelihood, and restored the image distorted the spatially correlated noise as a pilot study.
