Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently content based video editing tools, such as the one that can detect and connect the scenes where a particular moving object appears from the videos taken during a trip, are in great demand in connection with the poularization of personalized videos. To meet such request about video editing, we propose a method of object detection by using the motion and color information for a scene segmentation based on an object. First we detect a moving object in a MPEG sequence by analizing the difference of motion feature between a still object and a moving object tracked by a camera. And we acquired an improved detection rate by implementing the positive false removal which uses macroblock flags and the DC component in Intra coded macroblocks and the motion feature.
