| 抄録(和) | スポーツイベントを対象にした自由視点映像生成技術をAR(拡張現実感)の分野に拡張し,没入感の伴う新しいスポーツ観戦の枠組みを提案する.スタジアムで撮影される多視点のサッカー映像から,視点の内挿によって観察者の視点位置に相当する仮想視点映像を生成し,HMDを用いて現実空間のサッカーフィールドの模型上にサッカーの試合を重畳表示する.HMDを装着した観察者は,あたかも目の前で試合が行われているかのような感覚を得ることができる.カメラ間に成り立つ射影幾何を用いて,仮想視点映像生成や現実空間と仮想空間との位置合わせを行うため,試合を撮影する多視点カメラやHMDカメラを校正する必要はない.よって従来不可能であった大規模な空間で行われる動的なイベントに対してもARの概念を取り入れ,没入感の伴う自由視点観賞を実現する. |
| 抄録(英) | This paper presents a new framework for immersive observation of sporting events by extending arbitrary view synthesis technique to the field of AR. In accordance with the position of a viewer, virtual view of a soccer scene is generated by view interpolation among multiple soccer movies captured at a real stadium. Then the soccer scene is overlaid onto a soccer field model in a real world via HMD. This makes it possible to watch the soccer match in front of the viewer. Projective geometry between cameras is used for virtual view generation of the soccer scene and geometric registration between the real world and the virtual soccer scene. The proposed method does not need to calibrate multiple video cameras for capturing the soccer match and the HMD camera. Therefore we can apply AR to even dynamic events in a large space and enable observation with immersive impression. |
