Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed a virtual studio system using a PC. Instead of using special sensors and studio sets for obtaining camera parameters, our system uses a planar grid pattern placed at the back of the objects. By combining Kalman filtering with model selection, the camera parameters are computed stably and accurately from the image of the pattern of each frame. Our system also analyzes the actions of the objects and adds the special effects, such as changing a background image and playing sounds, to the image according to the actions. By using our system, anyone can produce attractive image contents easily.
