Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, a network visual haptizing(NVH) system using bidirectional communication is described. "Tactile Skin" is introduced as a concept for transforming haptic/tactile information from visual information, and tactile patterns transformed from images are displayed on the NVH system at real time. The system can also communicate bidirectionally via network, and several application tasks using visual baptizing are introduced.
