Automatic Production of Video Images Based on Distribution of Amount of Shape Information

Abstract(in English) An object has various kind of features, such as a color and a shape in general. Among them, shape features are considered to be most important, because human beings can roughly recognize the object through only their shape features. It is sometimes , however, difficult to recognize the object without grasp of its features. Therefore, we recognize the object seeking for an advantageous viewpoint for grasp of its features. In this paper, taking notice of such shape features, we introduce a method of denning them as amount of shape information and propose a approach technique of determining camera viewpoint which can express effectively the features of an object based on distribution of amount of shape information. Furthermore, it is shown that this technique for automatic determination of viewpoint can be also applied to moving object and then generates automatic production of video images.
