Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Can we develope a robot that makes us feel a robot's mind? If we can, how could it be realized? We think joint attention can be a guidepost for realizing it. Joint attention is a mental act of attending to the object the partner is attending to. In this paper, we propose a vision-based system for estimating a face direction and a gaze direction, - a key technology for realizing a joint attention. Lastly, we sketch a robot - human interaction experiment we conducted using the developed system. |
