| 抄録(和) | 画像を文書,特徴ベクトルを単語とみなして潜在意味解析(Latent Semantic Analysis, LSA)により画像の類似検索を行うことを考える.LSAは次元削減による大域的な情報抽出とノイズの平滑化により検索精度を向上させていると考えられているが,その効果を定量的に示すことは難しく,また実験結果で直観的に示すことも簡単ではない.本論文では, LSAの効果を調べるために,LSAを一般化して射影行列の階数や特異値による重み付けの検索精度への影響を調べる.さらに,LSAの効果を視覚的に表現するために,特異ベクトルと特異値により低次元空間に射影されたデータを対応分析によって2次元空間に配置する方法を示す.実験を通して. LSAにおける各種パラメータの検索精度への影響や,画像の特徴ベクトルによる効果の違いについて考察する. |
| 抄録(英) | This paper describes an application of Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) to image search. We guess that LSA improves the retrieval accuracy by semantic structure extraction and noise reduction, but it is difficult for us to show the effectiveness of LSA by a quantitative analysis and experimentation. In this paper, we generalize LSA in order to investigate the influence of the parameters e.g., the matrix rank of projection matrices, the weighing by singular values and selection of terms (feature vector) on the retrieval accuracy. Furthermore, we propose a visual- ization method based on correspondence analysis in order to represent the effectiveness of LSA perceptually. Simple experiments exemplify the influence of the parameters in LSA and selection of terms on the retrieval accuracy. |
