Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose the compression technique of 3D mesh model which consider that control mesh before subdividing are compression data based on fitting of the subdivision surface to an original mesh. This technique creates a subdivision surface control mesh, i. e., compression data, by projecting 3D mesh data after compression on two or more pictures of the object, and repeating division of each mesh and the alignment of the peak to arbitrary levels until gap between the pictures of the texture corresponding to each mesh are minimized. We can realize the compression model which can obtain compression data with few double images, and has reality more in the case of texture mapping by this technique.
