Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a remote surveillance and realtime walkthrough system in a ubiquitous environmet. We use four omni-directional image sensors in each room. For remote surveillance, it is important to estimate object's position. We propose a method using view-based models to estimate object's positions. For walkthrough, it is necessary to generate an image at arbitrary view point. We discuss an approach to generate an arbitrary view image by affine transform using the environment model. Each user can select an arbitrary view point by using JAVA applet that generates each view image from an omni-directional image.
