Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Co-channel interference (CCI) is generated in the space division multiplexing (SDM) system. To reduce the effect of CCI, eigenbeam SDM (E-SDM) system is proposed. However, the received signal to noise ratio of each signal in the E-SDM depends on the eigenvalues of the channel correlation matrix. Consequently, the bit error rate performance of the data stream multiplied by the minimum eigenvalue is degraded in comparison with that of other data streams. The transmit phase control is expected to control the eigenvalue of the channel correlation matrix. However, the transmit phase control is not effective in the conventional E-SDM systems. In this paper, to control the eigenvalue of a channel correlation matrix by the transmit phase control, we propose novel E-SDM/ orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. E-SDM/OFDM system transmits same signal on several subcarriers and a channel correlation matrix is composed of the subcarriers which transmit the same signal.
