Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report deals with work in which a user manipulates an object in a virtual space using haptic media in destributed virtual environments. We make a comparison of the efficiency of the work between stereoscopic viewing of the virtual space and normal (i.e., non-stereoscopic) viewing. We also clarify the relation between the effect of stereoscopic viewing and the deterioration in the efficiency owing to the network delay and its jitter. In addition, we calculate the gain of stereoscopic viewing from the experimental results.
