Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As spreading of 3rd generation mobile communication services, wireless communication systems are expected to provide a wider-band capacity. MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) systems, which equip some antennas both transmitter and receiver, have been drawing much attention recently. Space-time coding is the technique which makes use of transmission diversity and achieves high performance under fading environment. Space-time Block code especially attracted a big attention for its simplicity of decoding. We propose a method of adaptive coding scheme using Space-Time Block Code. It changes the Space-Time Block coding pattern and the modulation symbol according to the receiving condition. In this paper, we discuss this scheme and evaluate its throughput and transmission power performances based on simulation results. We also report the results under propagation environments based on a measured data in the experiment.
