| Abstract(in English) | With the development of broadband networks, audiovisual communication services are beginning to be provided. In these services, multipoint communications such as TV conferencing systems will be used in addition to the conventional telephone or TV telephone. To establish quality design and management methods in these services, it is indispensable to study the subjective quality in consideration of the characteristics of quality factors for multipoint communications, which are the imbalance of quality between all points, the influence of communication quality between other points, and the influence of conversation roles. We investigated the characteristics of subjective quality for packet loss and delay degradations in multipoint communication service for mass users. The results show that the overall quality at a given point is strongly influenced of the inferior quality at the other point and the quality between other points has not influence the overall quality. And the conversation roles had slightly influence on the overall quality. Furthermore, the overall quality can be estimated by the function of the quality of other points. |
