Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) NICT is currently working on security issues in the areas of information and communications, and in January 2004, we established the Information Security Center. The purpose of the center is to be a central force that will protect the users' privacy, ensure the security of online information, and protect the public from various incidents such as computer viruses. The NICT is one of the national institutes in Japan currently involved in network security research, so we are obliged to protect the public from network security problems through our research, experience and results.
