Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wireless multihop network systems of transmitting video/audio streams can provide the rapid and simple deployment systems for TV program production. Multihop network can be constructed with widely used IEEE802.11 MAC protocol using CSMA/CA. But IEEE802.11 MAC protocol has high transmission overhead such as inter-frame-space, control packets for hidden terminal problem. This paper describes the method of burst transmitting with RTS/CTS to reduce the transmission overhead and the results of simulations show that this method can increase the maximum transmission throughput and the transmission delay by frame collisions does not become large.
