Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Speech quality of VoIP (Voice over IP) may potentially be degraded by transmission errors such as packet loss and delay which are basically inevitable in best-effort communications. In order to alleviate such degradation, this study newly proposes an error concealment technique that takes account of pitch variation in pitch waveform replication. Objective evaluation indicates that the proposed technique may potentially be useful for improving speech quality.
