Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) TCP Vegas achieves high throughput with TCP Vegas connections. It is pointed out that throughput of TCP Vegas connections decrease under the environments where TCP Reno connections exist. In this paper, a new scheme is proposed to achieve fair congestion control for mixture of TCP Reno and TCP Vegas connections. In this scheme, the TCP version is estimated by variations of packet arrival rates and different congestion control schemes are applied to TCP Reno and TCP Vegas connections.
