| 抄録(和) | インターネットの広域性,多様性,高速性,あるいは管理の分散性に起因して,その特性計測の手法やシステムは必ずしも十分に確立されたものとはいえず,様々な研究が現在進行中である.特にここ数年,統計/情報理論に基づいた推定手法や大規模広域計測環境などの進展が顕著であるが,一方では,インターネット自体の変化も急ピッチであり,それに対応していくために一層の研究の加速が求められている.本稿では,そのような最近の計測(解析・推定)技術の動向を簡単に俯瞰し,今後の方向を議論する. |
| 抄録(英) | Since the Internet is characterized by its huge scale, huge diversity, huge volume of traffic, and distributed administration, the methodologies and systems for Interet measurement have not been well established so far, and a variety of research and developments in this area are being carried out. Especially in the recent years, notable evolution such as new types of inference methods based on statistical or information-theoretic approaches, and several large-scale measurement experiment infrastructures can be seen. On the other hand, since the Internet itself also evolves rapidly, research on network measurement should be much more emphasized. In this paper, a glance over such new topics or state-of-the-art techniques is given with some discussion on the future direction. |
