Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper focuses on a public area network based on Bluetooth. We assume a department store, station and airport as a public area. Since users of the mobile device in a public area do not stay at a particular place but almost move, a hand-off between base stations in the public area are required. We propose a Bluetooth network scheme based on reducing a hand-off time. The proposed scheme has two advantages that; (1) a hand-off time is reduced by removing an inquiry procedure for a connection establishment and (2) no other extra devices need to be added to a conventinal mobile device. We confirmed that throughput of the proposed scheme is 22.68 [kbps] without adding extra devices to an existing mobile device.
