Timing and Frequency Synchronization Scheme for MIMO-OFDM Systems

Abstract(in English) This paper presents a timing/frequency synchronization scheme for MIMO-OFDM systems. In MIMO systems, plural signal sequences are transmitted simultaneously. A synchronization function must operate before channel separation, namely we need to realize timing and frequency synchronization using mixed signals. We propose a 2-stage synchronization scheme - "Coarse Synchronization" with low complexity and "Fine Synchronization" with high accuracy - and preamble structure. Finally we show PER performance using this scheme by computer simulation.
