Abstract(in English) The subscribers of broadband service such as xDSL, CATV, and FTTH have exceeded 7,800,000 on December in 2002. In addition, the number of the subscribers is increasing rapidly. The streaming service is provided from various providers as the number of broadband subscribers increases. To provide the streaming service, the provider should offer the subscriber a high quality compared with the best effort type service. The contents provider should provide high-quality service compared with other providers. Because the user hopes for high-quality service, the service quality control is important from the viewpoint of customer satisfaction measurement. However, because the current IP network service is the best effort type service, the quality control technology is not mature. Therefore, the provider cannot understand the user's service quality. In this paper, the service quality evaluation method for the streaming service is described.
