Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a multicast photonic packet switch with partially shared buffer for MPLS. The proposed model is able to forward inulticast packets effectively without using wavelength converters by allocating star coupler to each ports. We evaluate the packet loss probability and the mean system delay performance by computer simulations. As a result, we find that the proposed model is able to forward multicast packets without causing the performance degradation of the mean system delay and the packet loss probability compared with the conventional model under unicast traffic environment. We also find that the proposed model, under mnulticast traffic environment, drastically improves the performance of mean system delay and the packet loss probability compared with the conventional model.
