Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes tracking method using one CMOS camera for interaction between human and AIBO. AIBO is an entertainment robot produced by SONY. AIBO has many sensor, e.g., CMOS camera, speaker, touch sensor, to interact with people. The authors have developed the desktop motion capture system called "DeMoCa". DeMoCa is a real-time tracking system to track the human motion. DeMoCa outputs many kinds of motion data, e.g., x, y positions and depth value of an object, hand shape recognition data, hand rotation data, etc. This paper mainly describes how DeMoCa works as a tracking system and delineates its usefulness by showing experimental results.
