Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have reported that monocular motion aftereffect induced motion in depth perception. This suggests that motion in depth can be seen with interocular velocity differences produced by monocular motion aftereffect. To confirm this presumption, we examined 1) that there is difference in the motion seen between the adapted and un-adapted eyes, and 2) that disparity detection mechanism is not activated by monocular motion aftereffect. The results of two experiments showed interocular velocity differences after monocular motion adaptation and that disparity cues did not contribute to the perception of motion in depth.
