Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigate phonetic parameters for expressive utterance generation. Paying a special attention to a part of sentence (index word) which the speaker would like to stress, we study relation on emotion and phonetic physical features of utterance. Firstly we make a factor analysis on emotion words in order to construct several emotion classes which is the target of expressive utterance generation. Next we let subjects mark up emotion level to each recorded sample utterances from the view point of emotion class. Finally we select effective parameters by regression analysis between phonetic parameters and emotion class.
