Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The architecture of impulse transfer circuit model that realizes the function of depth perception, auditory sense, categorical perception and associative memory is proposed. In this model, a pattern of impulses represents a subset of concurrent activities. The route that the impulse is transmitted forms a circuit in the nerve network. The formed circuit replays the same activity. A looped circuit functions as a short-term memory. An integrated action is achieved by using the linked loops. An inhibitory impulse is able to control the short-term memory. By referring to the neuroanatomical structure of brain, the mechanism of human vision and that of hearing are discussed from the viewpoint of the impulsive activities, and the architecture of impulse driven circuit system was proposed.
