Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A dynamic programming (DP) based algorithm that achieves real-time, high quality stereo-matching is presented. A special coarse to fine approach as well as the MMX extensions based hardwares increase the computation speed. Vertical smoothing and integration of the path in the DP matching make it possible to avoid noisy horizontal strokes so that high quality stereo-matching is achieved. The current implementation runs at about 30 FPS on a 2GHz PC, which is enough to be used for real-time applications.
