Abstract(in English) | This paper describes a new approach for gesture recognition using stochastic context-free grammar (SCFG). Existing SCFG approach consists of series of generating terminals, parsing and recognition. This process may lack important information on the way and result into false recognition. Our system keeps all information until the final stage in the recognition. To input action, we generate and keep potential terminal symbols with some reliability. A probability measure is assigned to each production rule to specify a class of the "temae". After parsing the terminal symbols, we estimate a distance between the input action and any "temae" by multiplying the reliability with the probability. The nearest "temae" is a result of the recognition. Our system can lead an optimal solution for gesture recognition. |
