Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a method for solving the robot localization problem in Sony Four Legged Robot Football League. In order to determine the next action of a robot, it is necessary to know the location of the robot itself and which goal it should attack or defend. Our localization method is based on color information and parametric eigenspace method. The eigenspace is constructed from CDT (ColorDeTection) images which are obtained using the robot vision. To recognize the location of the robot, a database is generated from the projected CDT images in a dimention-reduced eigenspace and their location information.
