Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A caricature can express an object's impression very well. In this work, we built a software for synthesizing attractive caricatures using interactive genetic algorithm. First, we studied on face's important feature points, lines and wrinkles that provide us with a wide variety of expressions. Our method starts with 20 initial caricatures and, its appearance is varied using genetic algorithm. Designed graphical user interface allows a user to select one or multiple caricatures out of twenty at a time. This interactive process leads the user to his/her desired caricature. Results are shown to demonstrate the proposed method.
