Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a method of 3D pointing interface for interactions with real objects. It is possible to point the target object directly on the 3D real world by hands without equipments and without touch. A user have only to move the arm for 3D pointing, then system can extract the 3D positions of shoulders and arms. We developed a prototype system on a PC using a stereo vision camera and an image processing software. And we carried out experiments on the system for proving the action. The results show that the system can perform to recognize the 3D position of the target object, and can perform real-time processing by about 150 ms/frame.
