Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We generated one-dimentional pendulum accelaration and moving sound images to investigate perceived accelaration. The perceived accelaration was influenced by auditory information by its direction synchronizing with the subjects' one-dimentional pendulum motion. That is, when sound image moved anti-phase of subjects' motion, estimated accelatration was stronger than actual one, while estimated accelaration when they moved same direction was lower than actual one. These findings suggest that perceived one-dimentional pendulum accelaration is determined by not only vestibule information but alse auditory information which involves sound location and the direction of sound motion.
