Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research, 16 groups of five undergraduates were participated in a decision-making group discussion. First, transcriptions of audio recording were categorized using a coding system which consists of 6 categories. Analysis of the utterance pattern revealed five types of "Speaker-role" (Coordinator, Information giver, Listener, Commentator, and Facilitator). Then, the relationship between each speaker role and leadership behavior was investigated. The results showed that "Coordinator" was perceived as taking both performance and group-maintenance oriented leadership behavior, while "Facilitator" was perceived as taking group-maintenance oriented leadership behavior.
