Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The present study was designed to clarify the effectiveness of social skills training and to examine to categorize all participants based on how large the changes of self-rating (social skills and trait shyness) scores were. Twenty-nine undergraduate students participated in social skills training to better their basic social skills. In consequence, the scores of affective communication, perceived ability, and interpersonal sensitivity increased, and shyness score decreased across three months. The effectiveness was enduring. When all participants were categorized based on variation by the cluster analysis, six categories of variation about social skills and shyness were found.
