Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is often the case that we make a final decision of our actions by obtaining, as an external factor, judgments made by others who face the same situation. However, we cannot see 'others' when we browse WWW (World Wide Web). Therefore when we browse web pages following the hyperlinks embedded in the web contents, we cannot help depending on the judgments of our inner self. In this research, we use a virtual mouse pointer on the browser display as a symbol of the existence of other persons. Then a psychological experiment is conducted to examine what effects will be observed in judgments of the subjects browsing WWW. The result shows that when selecting two or more choices, the subjects did actions in the same way as the virtual mouse pointer, and actions avoiding intentionally the group that was formed when the mouse pointers crowded together.
