Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses the system in which a robot searches an object in a real environment through the interaction with a user. The interaction is carried out as a dialogue manner. According to user's instructions, a robot behaves so that the user's load for instruction is reduced as much as possible. As for the detected object, a robot records its features and the history of search, and they are used for object search in the future. In order to realize a natural and smooth interaction which resembles one between humans, the extraction of search area from an observed image, region segmentation based on spatial arrangement of objects, spontaneous action by a robot and so on are incorporated in the proposed system. Experimental results in searching a book on shelves through different types of instruction words show the effectiveness of the proposed system. |
