Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose "Lovelet" that is a wearable communication tool for intimate people, e. g., family members and couples. Although real-time awareness of situations where each other exists plays important role in communication, the ordinary communication tools, e. g., telephone and e-mail, cannot always convey mutual situations. Lovelet always conveys users' surrounding air temperature data mutually, and the user can warm the partner if he/she finds that the partner is in the cold. Accordingly, Lovelet allows people to timely and naturally communicate affection in non-verbal manner. In order to estimate usefulness of Lovelet, we conducted experiments with subjects. As a result, we confirmed that Lovelet can work as a communication tool as it is expected. Furthermore, we found that Lovelet is useful as the second communication tool that is used together with the ordinary communication tools for conveying various delicate feelings.
