Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dyadic conversation is viewed as dynamic interaction between conversants. This study focused on reciprocity as an interaction pattern (Burgoon et al., 1995), and examined the effects of between conversant utterance balance on the impressions of the partner and the conversation itself. Previously, Ogawa (2003) studied the effects of this balance on impressions as judged by neutral observers, but it was discovered that both the observers as well as conversants may have been influenced by the different contexts of conversation. This study discussed in detail the effects of between conversant utterance balance on impressions with reference to Ogawa (2003).
