Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The present study was conducted to explore whether gaze triggers shifts of exogenous attention. Four students participated in the experiment The task of the experiment was detection, localization and identification of the target that appeared after face stimulus. Mean response times, error rates and eye movements for the three conditions were examined. The mean response time of identification task was longer than that of detection and localization task. Additionally, mean response times of cued-target trials were shorter than those of neutral and uncued-target trials. In the 100ms-SOA of localization task, the mean response time on cued-target trial was shortest. Their eye movements had no connection with gaze direction of face stimulus.
